SYL Duo Debut for PDL

BROOKLYN, NY--A season high 8 goals vs. New York Red Bulls U23 last game, let in by both Brian McPartland and Matt Dabrowski has the Euro PDL club looking in a different direction to end the season as FA Euro (3-9-0) takes on Jersey Express (4-9-0) on Saturday at Williams Field in Elizabeth, NJ, where Northeastern committ Noah Abrams will make his season debut along with baby Euro's Nick Baskakov vs. Express. They lead Euro 2-0-0 in the season series vs. FA Euro, both games were played on our home turf.

Noah Abrams, 18, graduated from the Berkshire Boarding School in Sheffield, Massachusetts. Abrams led his school to the New England Championships title over Worchester Academy 5-1 back in November 2016. Northeastern was very smart to sign Abrams, as the goalkeeper of the future, as could be one of FA Euro's keepers and goalies to stash away for a long time to come.

Nick Baskakov, 17, has been a baby Euro since January, where he has been wearing #77 in the 2000's/Super Y League club. He will be donning the #11 during the final two games of the PDL season. He told Will Canova of I-95 Sports Network last week after his signing, "I am very ,very ,very happy to be signing with the PDL. Especially with coming in January and working hard with the team and putting in extra hours everyday by myself. This shows that if you want something you have to keep working hard and sooner or later you'll get it. I'd like to thank the Club and all the coaches for this phenomenal chance to show myself and Coach Joe Balsamo for this amazing opportunity."

Last two matchups versus Jersey Express, the PDL club was outscored 7-0, with Jersey Express winning the first matchup on May 20th, 2-0 in Elizabeth, and June 21st in Queens by a score of 5-0. Euro has also been outshot 20-12 in two games. Euro needs to do more on offense, where they still need to find that true goal scorer.

Injury Updates for Euro as they head to Elizabeth on Saturday: Nico Anderson (personal) will be active. Johan Mauritzon will be inactive due to personal reasons. Alexis Santa and Jason Lampkin are also inactive for personal reasoning. Lorenzo Calvanese will be back in the lineup after being scratched for a majority of the season.
