FA Euro New York has welcomed two new additions to the PDL Staff. Joey Jarzynka and Michael Slavit, both St. John's University products, come from a background of broadcasting at Nassau Community College and at their current university. Jarzynka, 21, hired as the Director of Game Day Operations and General Manager of the club, has been officially brought in as a staff member. This is Joey's second full season with the PDL club as he worked as the head Public Address Announcer at the home stadium, Belson Stadium, as an Athletic Operations Intern for the university. "I am blessed to be brought in by Marco and Joe this season to show that I have a winning mentality in bringing in top talent from all over the United States, and from the NCAA level where I am most familiar with. Joey has been involved with basketball, baseball and American Football broadcasting at the NJCAA and NCAA level for the last three full seasons covering Nassau Community College and St. John's University events such as the 2017 Big East Tournament and NCAA East Regional both at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Michael Reid Slavit, 22, has been brought in by his friend and now co-worker Jarzynka, where he believed that Slavit was the "perfect fit" for the Public Address Announcer job as Mike brings experience as a Sideline Reporter for the I-95 Sports Network and WSJU St. John's University Radio for both NJCAA national championships for basketball and St. John's men's and women's basketball. "It means a lot to be brought onto the team. Coming to a great program is an opportunity and experience I couldn't be more excited about. It's clear that I see the decidication of the ownership and management's efforts to develop this young program. I look forward to a successful season working with the FA Euro New York squad." Slavit, a Roslyn, NY native, also will be conducting interviews for FA Euro's players at their studios in Astoria for FA Euro TV, in which he will be splitting time with Joey on the "Player Talk" front.
