BROOKLYN, NY--Former PDL Midfielder and Siena College standout, David Itoafa, has signed a professional contract to play in Romania for Otelul Galati.
Itoafa, 22, who recently graduated from Siena College, along with playing in the NCAA's Division I program, has decided to head back to his roots, and play in Romania for the Otelul Galati.
Itoafa told the club, "It was a great experience during my debut. We played in front of 3,000 fans in my opening game. It is a completely different environment compared to back home."
Otelul Galati, a professional club, that has been in existence since 1964, has been on an absolute tear up to date. The team currently has a 3-2-0 record entering play on September 29th, 2017. This franchise plays in "Liga III", which is the 3rd level of Romanian football. Equivalent to Serie C in Italian Football.
