Mr. Berrettini is the mastermind behind the youth development of several world-class players like Giorgio Chiellini, Daniele De Rossi, Alberto Aquilani, Giampaolo Pazzini, Ignazio Abate, Emiliano Vivanio, Antonio Nocerino, Graziano Pellè and a myriad of others. Paolo is also a highly decorated manager, bringing the U-19 Italian national team to a European Championship in 2003, defeating Portugal 2-0 in Liechtenstein. Paolo's national team experience has seen him coach the U-16, U-19, and U-20 Italian national team from 1997-2006. As a national team scout, Paolo was selected by the FIGC as Italy's national youth teams Head Scout and Technical Commissioner. 

In 2006, Paolo left Italy and traveled to Africa where enjoyed successful spells of the being Head Coach for the Senegalese Men's National Team from 2009-10. He would go on and coach both the U17 and U20 of the Congo National Team. Paolo opened up his own Academy in Senegal, named Baobab Academy where Paolo trains and develops the most promising youth players Senegal has to offer.
