ABOUT BEN
Ben grew up in the New York soccer community. He spent his formative years playing under now FA Euro New York Club President, Joe Balsamo, during which time he was selected for the Olympic Development Program and represented the United States at the Danone Nations Cup in Paris, France. During his youth career, Ben had the opportunity to play in a host of international tournaments, competing against some of the world’s top youth teams including Ajax, Inter, AC Milan, Fluminense, and Flamengo. After the inception of the US Soccer Development Academy, Ben completed his youth career at Met Oval, before playing at the collegiate level for Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
In his senior career, Ben has played seven seasons in the USL League Two, including the last five, with great pride, for FA Euro. He has traveled internationally on multiple occasions, including annual tours with FA Euro to Italy, during which he has played against professional teams, including Palermo, Perugia, and Foggia.
Ben has over a decade of experience coaching elite-level youth teams for players aged eight to twenty. He has coached domestically and abroad, including with Joe Balsamo at the prestigious Viareggio Cup in Italy. As the Director of Football Operations at FA Euro, Ben has successfully guided over 25 FA Euro youth players to the club’s First Team during the club’s first five years in the USL League Two. Ben has his USSF C License and is currently working toward his B License.
